Restylane Lyft NYC
What is Restylane® Lyft?
The FDA approved Restylane® Lyft specifically to return volume to deficient cheeks, the mid-face area, and the backs of the hands. You may not have heard about Lyft; that’s because it was formerly known as Perlane. Laser & Mohs Dermatology of New York offers Restylane® Lyft as a hand rejuvenation treatment. The hands are areas we often forget when thinking about aging. But as the skin thins our veins and tendons take on elevated prominence. Injections of Restylane Lyft returns volume, making your hands look younger.
As with all Restylane® products, Lyft is a hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body whose job is to hydrate, plump, and firm the skin. It does this by binding with nearby water molecules. Because hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance, all Restylane® fillers are classified as “natural” fillers.
Am I a Good Candidate for Restylane® Lyft in NYC?
Restylane® Lyft is a great solution for patients who are looking to rejuvenate their hands, hollow cheeks, and nasolabial folds. Good candidates for this treatment are over the age of 21 years old and are in general good health.
You may not be an ideal candidate for Restylane® Lyft if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active infection, or a current acne breakout. Dr. Adelle Quintana will thoroughly evaluate you during your consultation to ensure that you are an ideal candidate for this procedure.
What’s The Difference Between Restylane® and Restylane® Lyft?
How is the Restylane Lyft Treatment Performed?
Because it is meant to target volume loss in the cheeks and mid-face, Restylane® Lyft is injected more deeply. For this reason, Lyft has the local anesthetic Lidocaine built into its formulation. This helps keep the patient comfortable during the injection.
Hand Rejuvenation Injections
People tend to overlook the hands when it comes to signs of aging, but they are actually very notable indicators. Thinned skin, crepey-ness and volume loss can make the hands look ages older than the body. Restylane® Lyft is a dermal filler that is FDA approved for hand rejuvenation, as it has been shown to restore lost volume. The product is used to reduce the effects of thinning skin and depletion of fat within the hands. Results of this product last up to six months and many patients choose to revisit for multiple sessions.
Dr. Quintana is one of the only physicians in the country to begin hand rejuvenation with Restylane Lyft. She has taught physicians around the country this special technique to rejuvenate the appearance of hands with Restylane Lyft.
