What is Vobella^®?

What is Juvéderm Vobella^® XC

Volbella® is the second extension of the Juvéderm ® line of dermal fillers to specifically target the lips. The first was Juvéderm® Ultra XC. Ultra provides relatively dramatic volume to the lips, some would say showy volume. Volbella® was created to add subtle volume to the lips.

All of the different Juvéderm ® fillers are classified as “natural” fillers. This is because each of these fillers is made primarily from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body whose job is to hydrate and plump the skin. It does this by binding with nearby water molecules.

Where is Volbella XC Used?

Juvéderm Volbella® XC has a specific target — the lips. When injected into the lips Volbella® returns lost volume. This plumps and fills out thinning lips, but it does so without being over the top. When it adds volume, Volbella® also erases vertical lip lines on the upper lip and the area just above it.

Juvéderm Volbella® XC Side Effects

The most common side effects include swelling, tenderness, bruising, firmness, lumps/bumps, redness, pain, discoloration, itching, and dryness. Most side effects are mild or moderate and last 30 days or less. As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.
